PHONG DIEN FLOATING MARKET USED TO BE VERY NICE BUT IT IS ALMOST GONE NOW, LESS THAN 10 BOATS, NO NEED TO VISIT IT 

From Ninh Kieu park, at 5:30 am, we take the small boat to Cai Rang Floating Market – the biggest wholesale floating market in the Mekong Delta. The Cai Rang Floating Market is well known for its variety of fresh fruits and other local products. Hundreds of boats still gather there to buy and sell every morning.

We will have breakfast and coffee at the market, enjoy fresh pineapple on the local’s boat. This is a unique opportunity to experience everyday life on the Mekong. If you haven't seen the local fish market on land, we will visit it.

Afterwards, we visit a local house to see how the locals make rice noodle “hu tieu”. Then we will walk throught a very nice nursery vegatable village, get to know how the locals grow it. Following this, we will get back onborard the boat and journey into a very beautiful canal with lots of water coconut on both sides of river. We will walk along the very beatiful country road, get to know more things and you can offer some gifts to local kids.

If you are intersted in rowing the boat, there will be an opportunity here to learn (depends on the tide, we can go through the canal or just a short distance) and we can walk a bit to take a look at some nursery platations of the locals, then back to the boat station., talk to the locals, give some small gifts to the kids... The tour comes to an end here, our guide will drop you back at your hotel around 11:30 AM (If we go with the current, it will be a bit earlier)
